Mossy Creek Cycle and ATV’s carburetor
core deposit refund policy:
Core returns are the responsibility of the
customer.
Mossy Creek Cycle and ATV or
www.qualitycycleparts.com will not pay shipping
costs for core returns to the company. C.O.D.
shipments will not be accepted.
Core returns not meeting these guidelines
will be deemed ineligible for credit:
1.
Core credits will only be given for units
returned in the manufacturer’s box or
container in which the remanufactured
product was delivered. All fluid must be
drained from the core and core put in the plastic
bag. We will not accept core returns in
non-standard packaging.
2.
Core credits will only be issued for the
exact number of units purchased. The core
credit will not exceed the original core
deposit.
3.
Cores must be returned within 30 days of the
ship date of the remanufactured product to
be eligible for core credit.
4.
Cores that are returned in weathered or
rusted condition may not be eligible for
credit. Cores with broken, cracked or damaged housings
,or pistons are not
eligible for full credit. Cores returned for
credit must be complete and fully assembled. There will be no credit given on returns
with missing or broken parts, bent mount
brackets or disassembled units.
5.
Core credit will not be given if the
returned core is not the same part as the
remanufactured part purchased. Returned
cores must be an identical match with the
unit purchased.
6.
The
customer understands that the core once
received by Mossy Creek Cycle and ATV or
www.qualitycycleparts.com
the core becomes the property
of Mossy Creek Cycle and ATV.
7.
The value of the core returned and amount
credited will be determined by Mossy Creek
Cycle and ATV.
The amount of credit given may range
from $0 to the full amount you were charged
for the core at the time of purchase.
Regardless of the amount of credit
given the core will not be returned to you
and will remain the property of Mossy Creek
Cycle and ATV.
8. Each core is gauged independently.
Your core will be deducted for any item that
will have to replaced or repair, to resell
the core, as a much better than average
remanufactured part.

Some Core Return Deductions:
The
picture on the right is a carburetor vacuum
diaphragm. This diaphragm lifts the
throttle slide along with the main jet fuel
needle. This part must work correctly
for proper throttle response and jetting.
This one has been pinched from an improper
installation. The diaphragm may also
be dry crack or have pin holes. The
replacement diaphragms can cost as much as
$100. A damaged diaphragm will
most likely result in no core return.
This
is the enrichment valve retainer and cover.
The retainer nut must be in good condition.
Not stripped or rounded off hex area.
the cover must still be pliable and have no
cracks. Once removed the enrichment
piston, spring and seal will be inspected.
Depending on carburetor the enrichment set
may be sold only as a set and not individual
parts. Deduction of core deposit may
vary greatly.
The
fuel inlet on this carburetor is a plastic
piece molded onto a brass compression
fitting. I have not found a permanent
repair for cracked or broken pieces.
If defective it will greatly decrease
the value of a core. They may sometime
be repairable on the vent side depending on
condition.
The
carburetor must be fully assembled with all
of its parts. It must have all parts
pieces and spacers. I will deduct for
any missing pieces from the core.
Carburetors
have very precise mechanisms. The
factory linkages, accelerator arms, and
adjusters can not be damaged or bent in any
fashion. The linkages will not
correctly meter fuel if damaged. Any
damage will greatly affect core value.
